This is a lovely 1955 dated 4th impression of ‘I was Churchill’s Shadow’ by Detective Inspector WH Thompson. Thompson was Churchill’s bodyguard and confidant during the war years and was witness to major decisions and meetings by Churchill. The book has been flat signed and dated by Thompson and enhanced with an original pencil drawing portrait of Winston Churchill by Steve Teasdale. The book’s dustjacket is whole and bright with some light browning to the spine and back. The book’s dustjacket itself has a slight spine lean but is generally very clean with some browning in places. This is a lovely copy of a 70 yr old book.
