This is a brand new first edition hardback from 2014. It features letters, hand written accounts and drawings from prisoners in Colditz castle. The beautiful book has been enhanced with a large original pencil drawing on the front fly leaf of famous Colditz prisoner Douglas Bader by Steve Teasdale. The genuine pencil signature of Bader has been professionally mounted underneath the drawing. In addition to this and adding to the collectability of this copy are two further mounted signatures on the title page. These signatures belong to Colditz prisoners Lieut CD Mackenzie of the Seaforth Highlanders and Lieut P Pardoe. Both men are mentioned in the book and have contributions inside. A beautiful and highly collectable copy of this amazingly crafted book.
