This is the original Meuthen 1955 English 1st Edition of Adolf Galland’s ‘The First and The Last’. This is probably the best copy we have seen as far as condition is concerned. The book and binding is tight with no foxing and very little browning of pages. The whole dustjacket is bright, with little evidence of fading and some very slight tape marks in corners which are barely visible. The page ends are good and fairly clean. This superb example in its rare dustjacket has been enhanced further by an original pencil drawing on sepia card by Steve Teasdale. The portrait has been professionally fixed to the front end paper and features the genuine pencil signature of Adolf Galland.

You will not be disappointed in this highly collectable and early fighter ace biography from the air war by one of the leading fighter aces of all time. A centre piece of any collection.
