This is only the second copy we have ever had of this extremely rare and collectable 1958 1st Ed hardback. This book is considered the forerunner to all the recent books on the founder members of the Special Air Service of WW2 and was the one in which David Stirling contributed to. This amazing copy has been further enhanced with a large specially produced glossy bookplate bearing a colourised photograph of David Stirling. Underneath the photograph is mounted the genuine signature of Major David Stirling, the founder of the SAS. The book has some browning to the page ends but is in very good condition overall. The rare dustjacket is bright and whole with a couple of chips and slight
tears to the edges and some discolouration or spotting on the back. Please see photographs. This stunning book would be a special addition to any book collection.
