It is rare to find a 1957 first edition of this book in such excellent condition. The dustjacket is bright and whole with no tears, creases or fading. There is some slight spotting on the rear and  inside surface of the dustjacket which is not visible when the jacket is on. The book itself is clean and relatively spotting free. It has been enhanced on the title page with an original drawing of Nightfighter ace John Cunningham, in the style of Cuthbert Orde, by Steve Teasdale. Underneath the portrait drawing is the professionally mounted genuine signature of John Cunningham. As a real bonus, the genuine signature of author Robert Wright is also mounted in the book. Bob Wright flew with both Jimmy Rawnsley and John Cunningham ( see photo) after having been Hugh Dowding’s personal aide during the Battle of Britain. This is a unique copy of one of the first personal stories to come out of the Nightfighter war.
