This is a 1993 revised and updated edition of The Story of 609 Sqn by Frank Ziegler. It has been signed by fighter pilots who flew with 609 in Spitfires and Typhoons. They are Joe Atkinson, Cheval Lallemant, Pinkie Stark, Jimmy Stewart, R Dupre, J Mathys, A LaForce, A Billam, T Kerr & one other I cannot identify. The book also features a full page Remarqued original pencil drawing by Steve Teasdale of 609 Sqn Typhoon C/O Roland ‘Bee’ Beamont (also a Battle of France/Britain hurricane pilot and TSR2 Test Pilot). Bee Beamont’s original pencil signature has been mounted underneath the drawing. The book is in excellent condition whilst the price clipped dustjacket has very light sunning to the spine (The photo shows wear to the plastic cover, not the dustjacket itself). A competitive price for such a collectable Edition.
