This is a large piece of heavyweight shrapnel from a 500lbs general purpose WW2 RAF bomb. The piece measures approximately 160cm x 120 cm and is extremely heavy. It has been hand painted in enamels by Steve Teasdale to show the ‘Just Jane’ nose art which features on the Lancaster ‘Just Jane’ at East Kirby. This would look amazing in a cabinet with other Bomber Command artefacts.
