What an incredible item, a real one-off. The Keith Broomfield Dambuster print was signed in the 1980’s by surviving members of 617 Sqn plus Arthur ‘Bomber’ Harris. This print has then been enhanced with extra Dambuster signatures, to make a stunning total of 26 altogether. The print has then been enhanced even further with two large original pencil drawing remarques of Guy Gibson and Arthur Harris by Steve Teasdale. Whilst there are two slight residue tape marks on the back of the print to suggest it has been previously framed all signatures are strong and there is no sign of fading at all. This is highly unusual for this print. The signatures on the print are: Ray Grayston, H Hobday, D Heal, L Howarth, S Oancia, E Johnson, Webb, Chalmers, Townsend, J McCarthy, W Reid, L Curtis, F Appleby, Arthur Harris, Leonard Cheshire, T Foxlee, D Rodgers, G McDonald, D Shannon, G Rice, D Walker, F Sutherland, Tait, Feneron, Iveson, K Brown plus the artists Keith Broomfield & Steve Teasdale.
The print is in super condition with some minor handling creases and the previously mentioned tape residue on the back. The print also comes with a substantial piece of Benny Goodman’s 617 Sqn wartime Lancaster for mounting underneath the print. There is no COA with this print but we are happy to produce a Battleofbritainbooks one if required.
