This is a specially produced glossy bookplate bearing the original signature of Henry IIffe Cozens, the first commanding officer to receive the Spitfire. He led 19 Squadron until then being moved to command a bomber squadron. Cozens worked with Jeffrey Quill to ensure that the spitfire was  ready to go to war.
