This is a flat signed Hardback copy of Happy Is The Day by 41 Sqn Spitfire Pilot Tom Slack. After flying in the desert he joined 42 Sqn at Tangmere in Sussex. They mainly flew low level sweeps over France and the Low Countries. They also took part in the Dieppe & Normandy Landings. Tom Slack was shot down 3 times before eventual capture in Northern France, becoming a prisoner of war in Germany. A great story!
