These matching bookends in oak are believed to be wartime scratch built, possibly by squadron groundcrew. They are shaped to look like a rudder and either tailplane (horizontal stabiliser) or elliptical wing. They have been hand joined using traditional joining techniques and decorated with enamel paint on the roundels. Both bookends have been clear varnished and made to a high standard. They would be an amazing addition to your bookshelf (book in picture not supplied).
