The drawing has been signed by the artist and five veterans of the Desert Air Force. Group Captain Billy Drake flew Hurricanes with 1 Sqn in the Battle of France, 213 Sqn in the Battle of Britain and 112 Sqn Flying Curtis Kittyhawks in the Desert campaign. Sqn Ldr Ian Blair flew Blenheims in North Africa & the a Middle East before returning to Europe fly Spitfires. Sqn Ldr Peter Ayerst flew Hurricanes in the Battle of France with Cobber Kain, shot down a bomber whilst with 7OTU during the Battle of Britain and flew Hurricanes in North Africa. Sqn Ldr Harry Moon flew Hurricanes with 249 Sqn in Malta, flew in the Middle East and then North Africa with 274 Sqn. Flt Lt Les ‘Chunky’ Dennahy flew Hurricanes in North Africa with 134 Sqn. This is a great collection of signatures on a highly detailed original drawing - a totally unique piece which would look amazing framed up.
