This is a 1981 dated first edition hardback in very good condition with some sunning to the spine on the very nice dustjacket. It has been Remarqued with a large original pencil drawing by Steve Teasdale and features the genuine pencil signatures of two important Battle of Britain fighter leaders Jamie Jameson and W G Duncan - Smith.  Duncan Smith flew in The Battle of Britain and Malta. Duncan Smith was credited with 17 enemy aircraft shot down, two shared destroyed, six probables, two shared probables and eight damaged in aerial combat. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order and Bar and the DFC and Bar. Patrick Jameson was a New Zealand fighter ace who flew in the Battle of Britain, Norway and in Vader’s Big Wing. He ended the war an ace with nine destroyed, one probable and another shared, two damaged and two destroyed on water. This is a very collectable copy of this great story.
